When Chisomo arrived at Open Arms he weighed just 1.5 Kg and his chances of survival looked very slim.
With the extra nutrition and care that we could provide at Open Arms, Chisomo grew into a healthy 2 year old.
When he was 2 he went home with his father, who visited him often when he was at Open Arms.
He worked as a night security guard, and during the day as a market sweeper but despite this and the extra support from Open Arms, he could not afford to give his son the care that he needed.
He asked Open Arms if we could care for Chisomo, and he now lives in Rosemarie’s House, a happy and healthy 6 year old.
